Grupo Los Grobo is the first producer of soybeans in the world certified double

Los Grobo Agropecuaria has become the first company in the world to achieve dual certification of soy production process under sustainability standards guaranteed by the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) and the Round Table for Responsible Soy (RTRS). At the same time, is the first company in the Americas to certify the production process under the standard soy ISCC, thus becoming a pioneer company in Argentina soybean exports under this certification.

Grupo Los Grobo confirms and thus renewing their ongoing collaboration with the Global Compact principles, as well as a direct result of the policy of Sustainable Development of the company and its commitment to society.

The most relevant standards address both revolve around five pillars: fitness for all legal and regulatory frameworks, the responsible working conditions ensuring healthy and safe, the establishment of transparent and accountable to the community and the preservation of ecosystems with high biodiversity value, and the implementation of good agricultural practices, including soil protection, water and air, and the application of technology and processes that contribute to the mitigation of negative impacts.

To ensure compliance with more than 90 indicators defined by these standards, has gone through a demanding Grupo Los Grobo audit, which involved comprehensive and detailed analysis of the entire system of production, among which include the physical inspection of production batches, interviews with suppliers, employees and nearby communities regarding establishments with productive activities.

The ISCC was developed in Germany by public officials and key actors in the local economy, while RTRS certification was developed through a comprehensive consultation process multiple stakeholders. Despite the disparity in the design process for each standard, both have arrived at very similar requirements.

These certifications represent an achievement of enormous relevance for Grobo but also for the Argentine agribusiness sector and the country as a whole, since positions Argentina as a provider of reliable and safe food that meets the conditions necessary to establish systems sustainable production under the most demanding quality standards in the world in social and environmental issues.
