Sustainability Reports have become one of the most effective and broadly accepted communication methods worldwide. Sustainability Reports operate as effective tools for the social and environmental assessment and diagnosis of organizations. Grupo Los Grobo has a renowned track record in the submission of Sustainability Reports, and it has now renewed its commitment towards society once again; it has submitted its Report under the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative one more time (the G3, the so-called ‘Third Generation’ of the GRI).
The United Nations Global Compact’s guideline bridges with the Report upon disclosure of Los Grobo’s progress in relation to the UN Global Compact’s 10 Principles to which Los Grobo has adhered from 2006. At Los Grobo, we strongly believe that that we have significantly contributed to meet these principles.
This report records the progress towards the regional consolidation of the companies comprised in Grupo Los Grobo, even subject to the challenges posed by cultural, political, economic, social, and environmental diversity. The aspects related to society have been particularly strengthened, and the work carried out to unify indicators has been deepened.
We continue to encourage transparency and disclose the results obtained, because that is one of the ways in which any discussions which are meaningful to Society may be democratized. The benefits derived from this practice go further than we had imagined: they impact positively on the company’s positioning and branding; they generate trust and interest in several society players, a quality standard which inures to the benefit of the entire country and of the context in which it is immersed. With this Report, we aim at summing up the most important aspects comprised in this position and at sharing it with everyone forming part of our network.
